Maher Awad; Eng. is a renouned veteran of the telecommunications industry. Prior to founding MenaTel in 1991, Mr. Awad managed the telecommunications application technology and strategy for SHL Systemhouse. Before working with SHL, Mr. Awad worked with Canada Post, performing such roles as Senior Corporate Telecommunications Specialist and Project Manager, while developing an X.400 and X.500 messaging strategy, as well as acquiring, implementing and managing a voice response based system. Mr. Awad has also designed integrated voice and data networks for clients such as Revenue Canada, Customs and Excise, Canada Post Corporation and Priority Post Courier. Mr. Awad holds a Master of Engineering degree in Digital Signal Processing, and BSc.s in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) and Pure Science (Mathematics). He is also an active member of the Order of Engineers of Egypt, Order of Engineers of Quebec, the Canadian Business Telecommunications Alliance, and the EDI Council of Canada. |
